Our Faculty

CAREFIN has chosen a lean, ambiguity-free governance scheme, where responsibilities are clear and balanced by a set of compelling criteria for the verification of the results achieved. This involves:

• a Director, chosen by Bocconi for a 3-year term, who represents the centre, is responsible for its management and financial statement (in accordance with the university structures supervising all Bocconi research centres) and drafts the CAREFIN’s research plan (which includes a number of easily-verifiable milestones);

• a President, who guarantees that the interests of Sponsors and Research Fellows are met by CAREFIN, from both a scientific and an ethical standpoint;

• a number of Divisions that are being created to ensure in-depth coverage of one or more specific research areas (e.g., pension and insurance) that account for a significant share of our research activities;

• a group of Research Fellows that cooperate with Carefin on a regular basis, get support from the Centre for their most innovative research projects and can act as coordinators for specific projects promoted by the Centre.
