Francesco
Saita is full professor of Financial Markets and Institutions at Bocconi University,
Milan. His main
research areas are bank risk management and regulation, risk measurement for
managed portfolios, asset and liability management for life insurance companies
and equity derivatives.
Francesco has spent all his career at Bocconi,
where he is also the Dean of the Graduate
School. In the past, he
has been Vice-director of Newfin, Bocconi’s research center on financial
innovation that later merged into Carefin, from 2001 to 2007, Director of the
M.Sc. in Finance from 2004 to 2007, and Head of the Department of Finance from
2007 to 2010. He has also been visiting scholar at the Stern School of
Business, New York University, in 1994. He is a member of the Scientific
Committee of AIFIRM, the Association of Italian Financial Risk Managers. He is
also senior lecturer at SDA Bocconi, for which he has been in charge of several
executive education courses, including dedicated courses for supervisors. He
has also been an independent board member in an asset management company and
has served as a consultant on risk management issues for banks and life
insurance companies.
